Goodbye KindeeeeGoten

Dylan had his big end of the year Kindergarten Field trip to the Zoo! I got to go and help out walking him and a couple of friends around in our group. It was so fun to see him having a great time with his friends and his class. I can't believe he's finishing Kindergarten, WOW that went too fast for me! Way to go Bubba!

"It's the Milk Chocolate oh oh"

For those of you who have been to Hershey PA you know why I now have the singing cow song pop into my head now every time I think of chocolate or hershey. It's very catchy and who wouldn't remember a song sang by cows?

Wes just HAD to go to Hershey for an anesthesia conference, one of those education credit hour things for school and the rest of us of course HAD to go with him. It was a blast, really a fun place to visit especially since we got to go with not 1 but 3 great families that we consider great friends who were also there for the same reason as us ..... and that was the free mini sized Hershey's chocolate bars :-)
The amusement park was opened the Saturday we were there and the kids LOVED it! Reagan went on a ride that I didn't even want to look at! I got a pic. of her coming out of the gate at the end of the ride, pure shock! After that she was a little more "reserved" like her Mama when it came to rides. Both the boys enjoyed the rides a lot more than I expected them to, especially the rollers coaster they wanted to do that one again and again.
Dylan had a blast swimming in the hotel pool with his friends and got really brave jumping into the water from the pool deck. This was all thanks to the encouragement and example of his buddy Max, and of course the cheering of "Dylan, Dylan, Dylan" from Max's Mom Kortni! I was next to tears watching him actually ask for her to loudly cheer him on while he jumped into the pool with Max! What a great group of friends we have here, we are SO blessed.
And what a great trip this was ....... see ya Next Year Hershey!

Easter Again!!??

Easter is one of my favorite holidays, especially since we've moved east. I've never love spring more than I do living here, things really do "awake" and come to life after a long and cold, bitter winter. I am Grateful for the opportunity to reflect upon the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ during the Easter Holiday and I also enjoy the promise of spring here and it's symbols of rebirth!
Wow it seems like it was just yesterday that my parents were visiting for Easter and gave the kids those very popular Easter sombreros. (a dollar store find for Grandma) The kids have referenced them as such since then, thanks Grandma it's been fun :-)
This year the bunny had to hide stuff inside because of all the rain and soggy grass but the kids still had a great time and were overloaded with chocolate!

New Mommy ????

It has been SUNNY and Warm'is here in Erie! I am loving the healthy dose of Sunshine and Vitamin D we are getting. The kids get outside recess and Jack and I are getting out of the house daily to catch some rays :-)
So this past Sunday after Church Wes was walking out with the kids to the car, they had found me once ..... and then I had lost them again ..... so he just got sick of waiting and decided to go to the van. (I had the keys) As soon as I came out of the building Dylan came running up to me and said: "Oh, Mom I thought you were lost" and started crying ... just broke my heart. A big hug later and some reassurance from me that I was not lost and he seemed fine. He then jumped into Wes's car with him to head home. Everything seemed hunky dory.
When we got home Wes told me that on their way out to the car after Church Dylan asked: "Where's Mommy?" and Wes responded with a casual "She's lost." Dylan than panicked and said: "Oh no what are we going to do?" and started crying Wes then said: "Don't worry we'll get a new Mommy." (nice right...) This brought and eye roll from Reagan, and massive tears from Dylan follow by: "Oh, I'm really going to miss her" (it's good to know that I am loved). So this explains Dylan's tears and relief when he saw me coming out of the Church. Later that day I explained that I would always be his Mommy no matter what!
Good to know that I am so quickly replace by some, and truly missed by others ..... you know who you are!

Christmas 2009 ... Small and Quiet ..... Just Right!

It has been a Year now that we've been here in PA! I can't believe how fast the time has gone since we left our little Oasis in the desert! This is our second Christmas in our "little white house in Pennsylvania" and it has been great. We had a crazy couple of weeks before Christmas with Wes finishing finals, and me trying to get some shopping done without the kids! Once things settled down a little we got to wrapping, singing and enjoying the Christmas Season.
The Kids got WAY to much stuff thanks to their Grandparents who mailed packages that filled up all our tree space! Santa was also good to them and they had a fun day playing with their new games and toys. It was a nice and quiet Christmas just with our little family. I am grateful for the long list of gifts and blessings we receive from the Lord everyday! Christmas is my favorite!
Hope you all had a very Happy Christmas.

Kindergarten Thanksgiving

At the kids school the 2 kindergarten classes did a Thanksgiving program this year, it was really cute. They made their own costumes and sang a few traditional Thanksgiving songs and a few fun creative compositions of the teachers. Dylan's class was dresses as the Pilgrims and the other class were dresses as the Indians. They got to sing for their parents and have a little Thanksgiving snack after the concert. It was a fun to watch and was so great to see Dylan participating in the program and having a good time.

The Leaves are Down and The Beds are Up!

I realized last week that it's been over 5 years since we lived somewhere the kids could jump into a pile of leaves. Well this fall we have more than a pile of leaves and the kids had a blast jumping! Wes was raking and bombarded with all 3 kids and the dog!

The boys are finally off the floor! When my folks were here they decided to do an early Christmas and get the boys some actual beds, thanks G&G. Jack put on his hard hat and he and Reagan helped Wes put up the new beds. Dylan popped in from time to time between rounds of Super Mario Galaxy, but came for the finished product! They love the beds and their room looks Great, amazing what a difference beds make!

Sing it Sister

Our Ward held the 2nd annual Erie Idol in September, a lip sink contest organized by the Youth of the Ward. (like my September isn't crazy enough) Reagan was really excited to do a number with a couple of her friends Miley, and Bella. It was a cute song called "This day is a Gift" and Rea was dressed as the gift. She got to throw candy every time they sang the words This day is a Gift in the choirs. It was a huge hit and they won second place, well deserved! She was SO excited. I "got" to participate with the RS in a fun number with the Ladies. And the boys did some watching and some dancing. Here are a few pics
