September is Gonna Kill Me!

I really don't know what to say here! I think the title says it all! September is going to KILL me! I am exhausted ......... I "broke the news" to Reagan that we may be doing Birthday parties every other year, or trading off with Dylan or something. Because I can't do this every September, bunch of nothing but party planning and prep for a week, and then turn around and do nothing but party planning and prep for another week, oh and one more week of party planning and prep added right onto that! Did you catch that .....???.... 3 parties between the 10th and the 27th (not including my own Birthday, I don't plan that one ..... anymore, it's Wes job, or it's skipped) And each party is for a completely different person, with completely different tastes and interests ..... and ages! 2 down and 1 to go! I am done ranting, good night!
p.s. Party pictures to come!

Put us together we are 66 ....

Wes and I turned 33 this month! Yeikes! That sounds old! Why do I not feel any older than 20? Whatever the fact that I said that makes me sound even older .....

Wes made me dinner and his famous Chocolate Cake, and we had some friends over for my Birthday. It was fun, and of course the cake was Sooooo Good! Thanks Wes!
The next day we did a little mini golfing. The kids had a good time. Reagan has a good little swing, she took it pretty serious (as usual) and kept score, but did manage to have a little fun! Dylan had a good swing, especially considering his full arm cast! He loved it until the last hole when the ball was gone forever. Jack figured golfing out really quick! He started swinging and attempting to putt but pretty soon he'd just wait for his turn, and set his ball down perfectly about 1 inch from the hole, then just tap it in! Flawless shot every time!

For Wes's Birthday we had some dinner and Strawberry Shortcake (Wes's favorite)! A couple of days later we went to a State Park here in PA called Pymatuning State Park. Wes knew of a place there called, "the place where the ducks walk on fish." It's a spillway where HUGE carp beg for bread and people feed them, kinda yucky! The ducks really do walk on the fish to get to the bread people are throwing. The carp are kinda gross a little nauseating to see them, they are ugly and their mouths are huge. They would follow you along the shore line sidewalk with their mouths opened .... yuck.
Dylan was done sooner than the other 2 and wanted to find a map and our hiking trail. I had seen a trail online in this park that took you past 2 beaver damns and sounded kinda cool so we thought we'd find it. We've missed hiking a lot since we left the desert so I was really excited to find somewhere fun for us to hike. Well we didn't! After asking 3 different people, (including a park ranger who gave us a map and pointed out the hike for me!)taking about 6 wrong turns, and being in the "right spot" 4 times we parked our nearly out of gas van and walked along a train in the woods near some cabins. They obviously don't have the same idea about hiking in PA as they do in UT! Mark your trails better Easterners! But the kids had fun and it was still pretty walking through the woods!
All in all it was a good 33 for Wes and Me!

1st Day/ Week of School

First Day of School! (Jack wanted in on it too, it's not cold enough for the coat)

Reagan and Dylan stated school on August 31st this year. We have moved them to a smaller school, one that Wes and I have been impressed with and felt would be the best fit for our kids and their needs.
The weekend before school started Dylan broke his arm. He was jumping off of the laundry basket while watching Kung Foo Panda, I mean who wouldn't really!? So he was in a splint and sling for the first day, a Monday and we were told he needed to keep it safe and stable until he got his hard cast on Wednesday. Needless to say I was freaking out! Ok I was all ready freaking out that he was going to kindergarten and Reagan 3rd grade in a new school with new people, friends, routine ya know the works. So I called the principal and left a message for him to call me, fully expecting him to have Dylan stay home or me come in with him for a couple of hours and then go home. Nope he said "bring him in, I have extra help all week and I will make sure he has a full time helper all day"! I was shocked and a little scared, but mostly I was grateful that the principal was so mindful of Dylan's need to acclimate with the rest of his class! So we loaded up and headed out for the first day of school, mind you this is ALL Day kindergarten, none of this home for lunch stuff. Ready set GO!
Here they go! Off to the world, lunches packed and Mom holding tissue!

They have loved it at school. Dylan has clung to a little friend all ready, they both have an intense love for Mario or Video games so it's a good match. Reagan has made a Billion friends and Loves her new teacher, he's CraZy so great for her! They both enjoy music class and eating lunch at school. (as much as Dylan eats) It's been crazy busy, but really good!

This is on Friday after getting his sporty new RED cast! Of course it's red, he LOVES Red! He has only let Wes sign it and he was instructed to write "I Love my Red Cast"!

She was excited to wear this dress! We got it at the outlet stores for 1 dollar! Yup she's a bargain shopper! She also just finished the Harry Potter series a few days ago. She read the whole series this summer, impressive! I don't know what to do when I look at her and she's not reading about cloaks, and wizards and brooms. She loves to read!

My Heros

Really do I need to say much about this post! These are my boys, they LOVE being super heros of any kind, especially ones with powers.
The wrap on his knee is from falling down, he wouldn't let me take if off!

If you have seen Dylan as Spiderman he is about to reveal his secret identity by pulling off his mask :-) Jack thinks it's so fun!

Sometimes we get a LOT of rain

We have loved living here in the east where we don't have to water our lawns and the neighborhoods are so green and full of foliage.
The kids like the fact that they have to own rain boots for the spring, and we've heard the fall too. We have a spot in our driveway where the water settles and makes a nice little puddle when it rains.

We get geared up and go do some jumping! It's a lot of fun .... I love the rain. :-)

While we were in Utah this summer it flooded here. Caused some problems and accidents. Wes has no recollection of any flood. I think his nose was in his books! And his mind was on missing us, or chicken wings.
