Our last day in DC we started out at Arlington Cemetery. This was a really humbling and very overwhelming place to be! We walked around a lot and enjoyed taking our time in the sunshine! We saw the Kennedy's flame, Wilson Avenue, and Audie L. Murphy's tomb stone. We also got to see the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It was really a cool experience. It makes you very grateful for what you have, and who has helped and continues to help keep us free and safe!
Dylan was trying to NOT get a sunburn on his neck and face by wearing my short sleeved hoodie! It was his idea and he kept it on most of the morning. It worked too, kept the sun off his neck and face, and was a Fantastic cape for him to utilize anytime he wanted to. :-)
Reagan above having some much needed "down time" with Micah! (thanks Micah) and to the left she is watching the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. She thought it was really cool.
The Cemetery was also the location of the very biggest diaper blow out in Jack's history! (and he's had a bunch believe me) Wes and I were scrambling to get him cleaned up and the sidewalk washed off ... poor kid! He ended up shorts-less for a few hours, till they dried out from me washing them in the visitors center bathroom sink. We were so glad we were not on the metro at the time!
